A used book sale and free family programs will be held at Silver Spring Library, 8901 Colesville Rd., on Saturday, October 20. 

The book sale, held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will include thousands of used books in categories such as fiction, history, art, mysteries, romance, literature, cooking, biography, children’s, manga and more.

Hardback books will sell for $2, large paperbacks for $1.50 and small paperbacks for 50 cents. There will also be specially priced books. In addition, DVDs, CDs and audio books will be available.

At 10:30 a.m., "Goldy Bear and the Three Locks" will be performed by the Blue Sky Puppets, and Mike Rose's Comedy Magic Show will be held at 2 p.m.

The programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library, Silver Spring Chapter and the Silver Spring Library Advisory Committee.
