Crime Report: Armed Robbery in Glenmont
The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Montgomery County police have released the latest crime report for the Fourth District, from Feb. 25 - March 5. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or near Wheaton and Glenmont.
- An armed robbery occurred in the 2300 block of Winexburg Manor Drive, Glenmont, on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 2:45 p.m. Police said four suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
- An aggravated assault occurred in the 3600 block of McMahon Road, Wheaton on Saturday, March 3, at 4:35 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
Arrested: Female, 25, from Wheaton.
- An aggravated assault occurred in the 2200 block of Georgian Way, Wheaton, on Saturday, March 3, at 6:15 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
Arrested: Male, 52, from Wheaton.
- A residential burglary occurred in the 2700 block of University Boulevard West, Wheaton, between Saturday, March 1, at 11 p.m. and Sunday, March 2, at 12:15 a.m. Unknown entry; unknown whether anything was taken.
- A residential burglary occurred in the 2500 block of Glenallen Avenue, Glenmont, on Monday, March 4, between 4:05 p.m. and 8 p.m. Unforced entry; property taken.

Yes Marylanders, and while criminals like these are getting early release from prison for these crimes your Governor O'Malley, Attorney General Gansler, Delegates Car and Gutierrez with the full support of county executive Leggett want to disarm law abiding county residents from owning firearms to protect themselves. Call them now to vote against HB 292 and SB 281 before it too late! Please note the majority of elected Maryland sheriffs are against these bills as well.
