Crime Report: Wheaton 18-Year-Old Arrested in Glenmont Metro Robbery

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Montgomery County police have released the latest crime report for the Fourth District, from Jan. 14-23. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or near Wheaton and Glenmont. 

A strong-arm robbery occurred at the Glenmont Metro Station on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 7:55 p.m. 

     Arrested: Male, 18, from Wheaton.

An armed robbery occurred at the Gold Spot, 11935 Georgia Avenue in Glenmont on Monday, Jan. 21, at 12:40 p.m.  The suspect threatened the victim with a gun and obtained property. Read the story on Patch.

A residential burglary occurred in the 11400 block of Gilsan Street in Kemp Mill on Friday, Jan. 18, between 7:30 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.  Unknown entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 900 block of Annmore Drive in Silver Spring on Thursday, Jan. 17, between 7:40 – 2:10 p.m.  Attempted entry; nothing taken.    

A residential burglary occurred in the 900 block of Dryden Street in Silver Spring on Thursday, Jan. 17, between 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m.  Unknown entry; property taken.
