Get Out: Weekend Picks for June 22-24

Check out two free concerts and the Montgomery Art Association reception in Wheaton this weekend.

 

 

TGIF Concert

UPDATE, 2:31 p.m.: This concert has been canceled.

Mary Ann Redmond will be performing soul and jazz at Friday's outdoor concert in downtown Wheaton. The free concerts in the TGIF series take place the second and fourth Friday during the summer months.

When: 6:30-8 p.m.

Where: Wheaton Triangle, across from the Mid-County Regional Services Center.

Community Concert

The Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim Congregation is hosting a free community concert on Sunday afternoon, "celebrating the diversity and unity of Wheaton/Silver Spring."

When: 2:30 p.m., Sunday, June 24

Where:  1840 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 

Montgomery Art Association Summer Show

Join the MAA for a reception on Saturday evening at the Artistic Gallery, where the art association's summer show is on display.

When: 5-7 p.m., Saturday, June 23

Where: Artistic Custom Framing & Gallery, 11410 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20902 

Wheaton Farmers Market

The Sunday morning farmers market in downtown Wheaton sells vegetables, fruits, cheeses, eggs and more. 

When: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., Sunday, June 24

Where: Wheaton Triangle, across from the Mid-County Regional Services Center.
