Hollywood East Tree is Bright With Giving Potential

The popular restaurant in Westfield Wheaton is giving customers a chance to donate and take home a trinket of their choice.

Instead of ornaments, the Hollywood East's tree is decorated with accessories. The items are from a store in the mall called Temptation, located on the 2nd floor near Target. Visitors can take any necklace, headband or other item and donate what they wish.

Donations will go towards Alzheimer's research, although owner Janet Wu said they would decide which organization after they had finished collecting donations. The tree itself was a Black Friday deal.

Wu's own mother has Alzheimers, a disease that she said "needs more attention."

Hollywood East will be open on Christmas Day 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
