In Brief: Two New Local Exercise Options
Bonebuilders at Wheaton Rec., Yoga at Arcola Elementary.
If you were looking to get more exercise this year, here are two new classes starting this week, right here in Wheaton.
Bonebuilders Class at Wheaton Neighborhood Recreational Center
This class, led by Marian Fryer, is accepting new students on Jan. 4. Coordinated by the Montgomery County Office on Aging and Disability, the class focuses on exercises that increase flexibility and balance. The hour-long class is free and includes weigh training and balance exercises. Five spots are left in the Wheaton class. Contact Marian Fryer at mafryer@comcast.net
Winter Yoga at Arcola Elementary
A local yoga teacher will offer a session of weekly classes on Monday evenings at Arcola Elementary, starting Jan. 10. Liz Chabra, who has taught yoga at Brookside Gardens as well as several studios in the area, is offering a special of five classes for $49.
