On Saturday, March 31, four members of the Knights of Columbus removed litter from the organization's “Adopt-a-Road” segment of Arcola Avenue in Wheaton, between Kemp Mill Road and Georgia Avenue.

The Knights belong to the Msgr. Wells Council 13008 at Saint Andrew Apostle Parish. They reported collecting four 38-gallon bags of litter and debris, and recycling a 30-gallon bag of glass, metal and plastic.

Adopt-a-Road organizations and volunteers agree to de-litter a segment of major county roads at least six times per year. For more information see the Montgomery County Department of Transportation website.
