Library To Host Wheaton Architecture Lecture Saturday

A University of Maryland professor will give a talk on Saturday afternoon at Wheaton Library.

Dr. Isabelle Gournay, an associate professor in the school of architecture at the University of Maryland in College Park will deliver a lecture titled, "WTOP and Beyond: Modern Architecture and Wheaton," at Wheaton Library on May 12.

The free lecture, which was organized by the Wheaton Library and the Wheaton Redevelopment Advisory Committee, begins at 2 p.m. For more about the WTOP building's historical significance, see the latest blog post from Montgomery County Historic Preservation.

Fans of local blogger Dan Reed on Just Up the Pike may be interested to know that Gournay was his architectural history professor.
