MCPD Detectives Searching For Two Female Robbery Suspects

White Oak robberies occurred on April 4.

Montgomery County Police released information about a strong-arm robbery yesterday in an attempt to help locate two female suspects wanted in connected with the robbery in White Oak.

On April 4 at approximately 4:47 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 11400 block of Lockwood Drive for the report of an assault that had just occurred. 

Two female suspects approached the victims, a husband and wife with their toddler, at 11146 New Hampshire Avenue, accusing them of taking a Smart Trip card. They reached for the female victim’s purse to see if it was inside it.  The female victim was able to keep control of her purse and the family left the McDonalds.

The same two suspects approached the suspects again at a nearby Laundromat, and attempted to take the female victim's cell phone and purse. The male victim was able to get it back, but he was then assaulted. Ultimately, the suspects unhooked the two-year-old from the stroller and fled with the stroller. The child and his mother were not injured; the male victim sustained bruising to his face.

The suspects were both described as black females, 25 to 30 years old, between 5’11” and 6’ tall, and weighing between 200 and 210 pounds.  One suspect was wearing blue jeans, a red, blue, and green horizontally-striped shirt, and was possibly wearing a black wig. The other suspect was wearing blue jeans, and a black and yellow leopard-print shirt.
