Pedestrian Struck Near Northwood High School
The collision occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Monday.
A pedestrian was struck Monday night at the intersection of University Boulevard and Caddington Avenue, near Northwood High School in Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County police.
The collision was not fatal, a police spokesperson said.
UPDATE: Responders from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service "treated and transported an adult male, believed to be in his 30's, to a local hospital," according to fire and rescue spokesperson Beth Anne Nesselt.
Police and MCFRS received the report of the collision shortly before 9 p.m. The intersection was closed, but reopened a short time later.

This one doesn't seem to fit the pattern of the others. This is a signalized intersection, and the crosswalk is marked on three sides. Nobody mentioned if the pedestrian was crossing with the signal or against it.
