Six Red Line Metro Stations Closed This Weekend

There will be a shuttle running from the Rhode Island Avenue Metro Station.

If you're planning to party in the city this weekend, you might need to find alternative transportation.

From 10 p.m. Friday through midnight on Sunday, the Brookland, Takoma, Silver Spring, Forest Glen, Wheaton and Glenmont stations will be closed, according to The Washington Post.

Free shuttle buses will run between Rhode Island Avenue and Glenmont, stopping at all stations in between. Trains from Rhode Island Avenue to Shady Grove will not be affected.

Using the shuttles could add about a half hour to normal travel time, the Washington Post reported.

Everyone I know keeps harping on riding the Metro.
Two points of contention. Parking is too expensive at
Metro lots, train schedules are unreliable, track repairs
at inconvenient times, when is Metro going to get the systen running smoothly and efficiently again?
