Wheaton Crime: Robbery Outside Wheaton Mall

Montgomery County police have released the latest crime report for the Fourth District, from Dec. 31, 2012 to Jan. 8, 2013. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or near Wheaton.
A strong-arm robbery occurred in the street between J.C Penney’s and the parking garage at Westfield Wheaton Mall, Wheaton, on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 10:00 a.m.
Arrested: Female, from Takoma Park.
A residential burglary occurred in the 11500 block of Elkin Street, Wheaton on Saturday, Jan. 5, between 5:50 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
An armed robbery at the AT&T store in Wheaton also occurred during this reporting period, on Jan. 6 at 4:48 p.m.
