WSSC to Hold Meeting on Wheaton Stream Work

WSSC representatives will outline the utility’s Sewer Repair, Replacement and Rehabilitation (also known as SR3) program at a meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wheaton Library, 11701 Georgia Avenue.

The SR3 program is part of a 12-year effort by WSSC to minimize—and where possible, to eliminate—sanitary sewer overflows in which untreated or partially treated wastewater discharges from a sewer system into the surrounding areas.
