My Green Montgomery (and Wheaton too!)

www.MyGreenMontgomery.org is a recently launched website designed to help county residents create a safer, healthier, more sustainable place to live is good for all of us.

Run by the county's Department of Environmental Protection, the website has information about local incentives, programs, services, and resources residents can use to save money and energy, all located in one place.

Interested in doing a green project?  The website has information on the cost, difficulty and environmental impact on many types of green projects, as well as links so you can get more information. Do you need financial assistance in doing your green project?  The MyGreenMontgomery.org website is a gateway to all the incentives that are available to county residents.

The site’s community calendar lists local activities such as workshops, volunteer workdays, walks, and films covering a range of green topics.  If you are interested in sharing your “green” story, the MyGreenMontgomery.org website is interested in helping you share that information. Local groups like GreenWheaton are also listed on the website.  Visit www.MyGreenMontgomery.org to see how you can make your life greener and help Montgomery County become more economically and environmentally sustainable!

Interested in learning more about MyGreenMontgomery.org, water conservation and GreenWheaton?  Come to the March 27 GreenWheaton Program meeting at Mid County Service Center, 2424 Reedie Dr, Wheaton MD 20902.  The meeting starts at 7:30 pm.

Presenters:

Susan Marinelli from the Department of Environmental Protection will talk about
MyGreenMontgomery.org and how to use the website to find information about
conserving water and living a greener lifestyle.

Ann English from DEP will also be there to talk about their incentive program
(RainScapes) to help you manage stormwater on your property.
