Unitarian Universalist Church of Rockville is a welcoming and liberal congregation. The Rockville congregation says it is strongly committed to upholding the Unitarian Universalist's first principle, "respecting the inherent worth and dignity of every person," and applying that belief to "people of all sexual orientations and gender identities." The church offers group meditation before services every Sunday, has craft nights throughout the month, and celebrates with several special services each year.
