The Mid-County United Ministries (MUM), the Captain Joseph A. Mattingly, Jr. FOOD PROGRAM and emergency services program for low and moderate income residents in the Mid-County areas of Wheaton, Kensington, Aspen Hill is holding its second annual Fundraiser tomorrow evening, Friday, October 19, from 7-9 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 9707 Rosensteel Avenue, Silver Spring, near the Forest Glen metro.
The Rev. Timothy Warner, the County Executive's Community Partnerships Liaison with African American and Faith Communities, will be the featured speaker. He has had a career in service to the United Methodist Church and beyond, and began his career by training as a bacterial geneticist. He trained at Wesley Theological Seminary with a concentration in Urban Ministry.
