St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church Collects Sandy Relief Supplies

The Kemp Mill church plans to send the supplies to Holmdel, NJ, for those recovering from the effects of superstorm Sandy.

St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church in Kemp Mill has joined with two other local parishes to send emergency supplies to St. Benedict Catholic Church in Holmdel, NJ, for distribution in surrounding communities. According to the St. Andrew's secretary, the priests at the two churches know each other personally.

Soley Somma, a Wheaton resident and a St. Andrew parishoner, is running a separate drive to collect items for people in New York City who were affected by Sandy. Any leftover donations from Somma's house will go toward the St. Andrew effort for Holmdel, she said.

St. Andrew will be collecting donations at the church until Nov. 8. See the attached flier for more details.
