Becky Jordan said she has no power at her home near the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Seminary Road. Because the library is closed, she said she is going to take her daughter to work in Bethesda.

Laura, who lives near the Glenmont Metro station, said she had tossed everything out of the fridge before driving to the Wheaton Library--only to find out the library didn't have any power either.
