Bites Nearby: Continental Pizza

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in, but we've got a better idea: Each week, Wheaton Patch picks a great restaurant, either in town or nearby, that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice.

 – If you live in the area and have yet to try Continental Pizza, be ashamed, be very ashamed. I kid you, MoCo folk. There is still hope: lunch and dinner tomorrow — two opportunities to start making up for lost time. So get in the car, check to make sure you have cash (no credit cards accepted, but prices are low), and follow the scent of melting cheese to 10532 Connecticut Ave.

Careful, don't outsmart yourself and go crazy with toppings. The beauty of Continental's fine-tuned pizza making is in its simplicity: crisp crus plus generous cheese allotment plus simple topping equals pure pizza bliss.

In fact, simply writing those words make me crave that wonderful, crunchy, succullent goodness. This place is an institution, and worthy of the praise heaped upon it by pizzagoers. It is almost as though giving them your money is like a charity donation: you feel like you are contributing to the collective good of humanity.
