Why Go? Strathmore Artist in Residence and 2010 DMV Awards Best Alternative Artist Chelsey Green will be equipped with her violin and her band The Green Project to blend and bend genres. Described as “Classical: Shaken and Stirred,” Chelsey and her bandmates mix Soul, R&B, Jazz, and Rock- all driven by Chelsey’s voracious violin playing. This DC original shouldn’t be missed.

Why Go? A wise man once said, “A life without love is like a year without summer.” Well, he only said that assuming you’d go to the county fair! He knew that your summer, as well as your life, would be incomplete without Deep Fried Oreos. Why Go? Help protect the Potomac by preventing trash from flowing into the river. “Many hands make light work” and this work is even pre-approved for MCSL and SSL hours.

Why Go? Enjoy beautiful downtown Bethesda and the eye-catching art in 11 of its galleries. The Bethesda Circulator will be making its rounds and drop you off near the art spaces- featuring works of painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media.

Why go? The New Century American Irish Arts Company can’t wait to treat the audience to their kick-off performance of jigs and music. Beer, wine, and light fare will be served.

Why Go? Playing hits from the 1930’s to the 50’s, The Night & Day Band will supply the swinging sounds for you to dance like a star, while under the stars.
