Why Go? Unlike the Everlasting Gobstopper, summer isn’t forever. So support the TGIF Summer Series while it’s still here by bringing friends, lawn chairs, and, of course, candy to this outdoor screening of the classic film.

Why Go? We humans give snakes a bum rap. In return, pythons make themselves difficult to UNwrap. But really, the number of times snakes strike is miniscule compared to all the verbal venom we spew about our slithering brethren. That’s why Brookside is going to set the record straight with this fun and kid-friendly presentation.

Why Go? Mad Science is bringing their Spectacular Science show to teach kids about the “elements” of magic. The kids will see bubbling potions and even fireworks. It will be anything but a quiet day at the library.

Why Go? Escape the high temps and come inside for some high art. See the Rockville Civic Ballet’s presentation of their summer production (MacBeth, Twelve Dancing Princesses).

Why go? The Ivory Coast celebrates its independence on this anniversary. Join the festival and you’ll experience the traditional food, clothing, and crafts.
