Parks, Community Chooses Artists for Evans Parkway Park
Ali Della Bitta and Drew Goerlitz, from New York, will make the final design.
Montgomery Parks and community representatives have chosen the artist duo of Ali Della Bitta and Drew Goerlitz to design an art installation inside the renovation of Evans Parkway Park.
Della Bitta and Goerlitz were chosen after Parks and community representatives discussed the . Both community members, Max Fox and Steve Velasquez, voted for the pair's concept - large stones engraved with pictures of flora and fauna with a hole bored through to create a "viewfinder" to where the animal or plant might live in the park - but wanted the project be even more interactive.
The duo agreed, and their art work will be installed as part of an entire renovation of the neighborhood park.
