Weekend Planner: DC Green Festival

What's going on in DC this weekend? Lots of green!

The annual Green Festival returns to DC this weekend for its eighth year promoting sustainable practices and the "green" business community.

Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! and political activist Ralph Nader are among those scheduled to speak at the event, which will be held Sept. 29 and 30 in the Washington Convention Center.

Festival-goers can expect plenty of food--an organic, vegetarian and vegan food court--as well as an organic beer and wine garden. Organizers say there will be cooking demonstrations and DIY workshops.
