Does America’s worst cook live in Montgomery County?
Sunday’s season premier of Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America” – matching TV cameras with culinary ineptitude – may show just that. Rasheeda Brown of Germantown will compete with 13 other kitchen clods for a $25,000 grand prize and the title of being the best—of the worst, Rockville Patch reported.
“Under the tutelage of chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay, Brown and 13 of her kitchen-maladroit brethren will transform into ‘fearless culinary masters,’” according to the report.

The wait is over: Wisconsin Avenue favorite, Persimmon, has reopened after an extensive renovation, according to Bethesda Patch.
“Chef and owner Damian Salvatore shuttered the restaurant in July to transform the eatery into a ‘casual, neighborhood bistro’ modeled after Wild Tomato, Salvatore's restaurant in Cabin John,” according to the report.

While Montgomery Mall recently gained a world class coffee shop in the form of Aroma Espresso Bar, Chevy Chase has had to say goodbye to one.
“Friendship Heights is down another business: Tynan Coffee and Tea, which anchored the southern arm of the plaza at The Shops at Wisconsin Place,” Chevy Chase Patch reported. “A sign hung in the window [Friday] thanking Tynan customers for three years of patronage.”
According to the report, Tynan is not the only store to vacate Wisconsin Place recently. The Adolfo Dominguez storefront, formerly home to a clothing boutique, sits empty next door to Tynan.
