Job Openings Posted for Wheaton Safeway

As construction progresses on the Wheaton Safeway, job openings have been announced for the supermarket and the other businesses within it.

Here are some of the jobs available:

Clerk-Service/Retiree - Bakery in Safeway

"Provides friendly courteous and helpful service to Safeway customers. Assists customers with their product selections. Prepares department product for customer purchase and replenishes department display cases. Maintains department sanitation standards including cleaning of counters display cases utensils and machinery. May operate a cash register."


Cake Decorator for Safeway

"Provides superior customer service. Assembles, frosts and decorates cakes and pastries with designs. Maintains an adequate amount of fresh merchandise on hand at all times. Must communicate well with customers in order to understand and prepare a great quality product that meets the customer's expectations."


Courtesy Clerk/Retiree - Front End Service for Safeway 

"Provides superior customer service. Greets customers, bag groceries, helps customers out to their cars and collects empty carts for return to the store. Other duties include sanitation, price checks, stocking of bags at the checkstands, cleaning of spills and returning merchandise to the shelf."

Food Clerk/Retiree for Produce in Safeway

"Provides superior customer service. Operates checkstand, stocks shelves within the grocery, frozen food and dairy sections of the store and maintains a clean work area. Observe company’s safety rules and sanitation standards. Performs other duties as required."

Food Clerk for Produce in Safeway

"Provides superior customer service. Orders, stocks, rotates and maintains produce in accordance with company standards regarding merchandise presentation, safety, sanitation, service and suggestive selling. Significant amount of time spent in trimming, washing and preparing product for placement in the display cases. Additional duties as needed."

Starbucks Clerk in Safeway 

"Provides superior customer service. Responsible for brewing coffee and tea, using coffee urns, drip or vacuum coffee and tea makers, and other kitchen equipment. Perform various duties to assist in filling customer orders, operate cash register, accept payment from customers, and make change."

Food Clerk for Grocery in Safeway
