Food Drive at Wheaton HS Football Game

The Wheaton High School Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring a Food Drive to benefit the Manna Food Center.  The Manna Food Center, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is a non-profit organization that works towards eliminating hunger in the Montgomery County area through a food distribution center as well as education on the needs of those less fortunate in the county.
Collection for the food drive will take place at the Wheaton High School versus Poolesville High School Junior Varsity (3:00pm) and Varsity (6:30pm) football games on Friday, October 25th.  Drop off will be at the entrance to the Wheaton High School stadium at game time.  Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to the game.  Most needed are things such as canned meat & fish, canned fruit, canned vegetables, rice, beans, pasta, chili, cereals, infant formula, & disposable diapers.  The school hopes the community will pitch in to help those most in need.
