Wheaton Metro Escalators Back In Service

Station escalators are now fully operational.

Upstate, 9:45 a.m.: WMATA is reporting that the escalators at the Wheaton Metro Station have been restored.

Original post, 8:22 a.m.: Metro reports that due to a mechanical problem, all entrance escalators at the Wheaton station are out of service Sunday, Oct. 23.

The station remains open. Shuttle bus service has been requested.
