Where/When: Go to Maydale Park on Thursday at 5 p.m.
Why Go: Kids older than 6 can check out a great local park and see what happens in nature at night.
Pricing: FREE

• POTTERY PAINTING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Where/When: It's at on Thursday night. The fun starts at 5 p.m.
Why Go: It's amazing how quiet the kids get when they're concentrating on painting the perfect piece of pottery. Bring friends, and everyone can relax and have fun for a low studio fee.
Pricing: $15 per table.

• PRE-K STORY AND CRAFT
Where/When: Brookside Nature Center gets your preschooler creative on Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Why Go: This week's will focus on African Animal stories. The kids will hear stories and make a craft to take home.
Pricing: FREE

• WHEATON
Where/When: Wheaton Ice Arena presents the Ice Show on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Why Go: The kids will be amazed by performers from the area, and you won't have to travel far or pay a service charge for your tickets.
Pricing: FREE


Where/When: Brookside Nature Center is the place to be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Not only do you get to see how maple syrup is made, you get to taste it, too. Everyone can enjoy a seasonal tradition in a great indoor and outdoor setting.
