Community Corner

In Brief: May 2

Rock and WRAC.

Good morning, Wheaton. Here's the latest to get you started on your week:

  • It doesn't roll off your tongue the way Crosby, Nash, Stills and Young does, but the Strathmore will host David Crosby and Graham Nash this evening at 8 p.m.
  • Tomorrow is Teacher Appreciation Day.  An opportunity to thank your educators before the school year runs out.
  • Wheaton's County Council representative, Valerie Ervin, will be roasted with laughter to benefit the Jubilee Association of Maryland. It's at the Silver Spring Civic Center at 6 p.m. on May 4.
  • Wheaton Redevelopment Advisory Committee has space for new members. Perks include: hearing about all the development plans in Wheaton early on, representing Wheaton residents to developers, monthly meetings and the chance to be quoted by Wheaton Patch. Learn more in our announcements section.
