Weekend Track Work Takes a Pre-Christmas Break

No scheduled track work on the Red Line this weekend.

Weekend track work on the Red Line takes a break this weekend, Dec. 22 and 23, according to Metro's website.

"The vast majority of Metrorail customers will enjoy normal service—free of track work—over the two weekends that precede the Christmas and New Year's holidays," Metro reported.

During the weekends of Dec. 22 through 23 and 29 through 30, "there will be no scheduled track work on the Red, Orange, Blue or Yellow lines. The only planned work will take place on the Green Line, and will only affect customers traveling to or from Greenbelt Station," Metro added.
