What You Need to Know About Metro: April 29

Single tracking from Takoma to Forest Glen.

If you're taking the Metro to the Nationals games agains the Giants this weekend, downtown, or maybe to the other side of the Red line (you never know!), here's what you need to know about delays and track work going on during the last weekend of April.

  • Add 20 minutes to travel if you're going beyond Forest Glen. The Red line will be single-tracking between that station and Takoma from 10 p.m. Friday to close on Sunday.
  • There will also be single-tracking between Twinbrook and Shady Grove during the same time period.
  • On the Yellow line, trains will be sharing the same track from Huntington to Braddock Road from 10 p.m. Friday to Sunday close. It seems once you get downtown, you are free and clear to move about the Metro.
