What You Need to Know About Metro This Weekend: March 10th
Single tracking from Glenmont to Takoma.
Wheaton's escalator modernization date has been moved up to April 1st, but the rest of the Metro's work looks similar to previous weeks. Here's the rundown for the weekend and next week.
- Single tracking between Forest Glen and Glenmont to replace switches this weekend after 10 p.m. on Friday. Expect an extra 20 minutes of travel time. There will also be single tracking on the other side of the line, from Twinbrook to Grosevnor.
- No service between East and West Falls Church, there'll be shuttles of course, and the orange line will be affected. Add 30 minutes to your trip if you're heading that way in Virginia.
- During the weekday nights, there will be single-tracking between Takoma and Forest Glen, as well Grosevnor to Twinbrook.
