What You Need to Know About the Metro: April 8

No single-tracking during the weekend, but through next week.

While the second weekend of April will also be single-tracking free, the weekdays won't.

  • There will be single-tracking from New York Ave. to Rhode Island Ave. from 10 p.m. to close, and from  Twinbrook to Grosvenor starting at 9:30 p.m. on April 10 through April 14
  • In case of a federal government shutdown, Metro will "continue operating on a normal schedule", but might lower the number of rail cars on each train, especially if commuting ridership is reduced.
  • Looking ahead, there will definitely be single-tracking next weekend, on multiple lines. We'll have it in detail for you next Friday.
