30th Annual Community Awards Banquet
Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 6 to 9 pm

This annual awards dinner is a hallmark event of the Wheaton & Kensington Chamber. Business leaders, community activists, residents and elected officials all come together to recognize the achievements of the honorees. Celebrate the connection and goodwill between citizens, businesses, schools, and public safety workers in the Wheaton & Kensington community.

For over 19 years, the Chamber has recognized the area high school students and also included monetary gifts provided by the various sponsors. The Chamber has been committed to encouraging local businesses to mentor the students destined to become future leaders.

The Chamber will honor the Wheaton Studio of Dance this year. This downtown Wheaton facility was established in 1958, and is where many of the area’s best dancers have been trained. It is one of the largest dance studios in the Washington area, and has been an integral part of the community under Artistic Director and Owner Shannon Rush-Locke.
