Checking Out the Weather Scavenger Hunt

It’s amazing how much you can learn by using simple tools like
thermometers and wind detectors. During this free-style, self-guided scavenger
hunt, you’ll be assigned the task of finding the windiest, coldest, warmest and
driest places outside the nature center and then return to share your results
with the naturalist. You’ll discover that weather forecasting begins with data,
and ends with explanations that

become the basis of predictions. Come anytime during the 2 hour period
to pick up your tools, learn how to use them, and receive your weather
scavenger hunt sheet. Children must
be accompanied by an adult. Please register at ParkPASS.org and pay for all attendees.  301-962-1480,
