MAA Gallery March Show
Tuesday, March 4 through Sunday, March 30, 2014

with Featured Artist of the Month: Judith Levine
Opening reception: Sunday, March 9 from 1 - 5 pm

Judith Levine was inspired by the Washington Color School – especially the works of Gene Davis.  She prefers working with the purest forms of pigments, like pastels or conté crayon, and loves the intensity of color.  She works with brushes and other implements, but also loves to use her fingers directly in the media and experimenting.

Judith has been a Professional Nurse for 25 years, managing HIV and cancer programs; and continues to work with the DC Cancer Consortium, writing educational materials.  She does the monthly featured artists interviews in the MAA newsletter, and also chairs the MAA Children’s Activities - helping encourage children that are participating in the MAA art projects.
