Jacques Bodelle likes all sorts of painting styles and media, and cannot choose between doing abstract or figurative; landscapes or still life; watercolors or oils. Yet recently he’s done more abstracts in oil, and feels the need to paint for one, two, or three more decades before really deciding!
Long ago in France Jacques trained as an engineer, and geologist - so abstract might fit a little better with his sense of geometrical construction. Some people can recognize his paintings because of their architecture... the way the lines are oriented. But Jacques never thinks about the way he‘ll paint before he starts. He just enjoys it, and hopes others will too.
