This weekend you can get out to see a show, celebrate Earth Day, take in some art, or even take a ride with the Easter Bunny.

1. Nancy Wilson at Strathmore

Where/When: , North Bethesda, April 22, 8:00 pm.

Why Go: Rare opportunity to catch a live local performance of the award-winning singing legend.

2. Little Tavern to Golden House photography exhibit

Where/When: , Bethesda, April 22 & 23 (and through May 7), 12:00 pm- 6:00 pm.

Why Go: To view a "mini-show" of photographs by guest artist Jerry Maddox, retired Curator of Photography at the Library of Congress. An active photographer since the 1950’s, Maddox has taken a special interest in downtown Bethesda. In one series of photos he documents changes through the years of one historic landmark: the original Little Tavern on Wisconsin Avenue.

3.  Laugh Riot at the Hyatt

Where/When: , downtown Bethesda, April 23, 8:00 - 10:00 pm (doors open at 7:00pm).

Why Go: An evening of laughs and a chance to out three local standup comics. After the show, tell your own best joke to vy for a $25 prize plus two free tickets.

4. Earth Day Cleanup Event at Lock 8

Where/When: Earth Day (April 22), 10:00.m - 3:00 pm, 7906 Riverside Dr, Cabin John.

Why Go: Do your part to pitch in on Earth Day by joining Potomac Conservancy along the C&O Canal for a day of helping mother Earth, by picking up trash, pruning vegetation and repairing the towpath and trails.

5. Easter Bunny Express

Where/When: Cabin John Regional Park, 7400 Tuckerman Ln, Rockville, April 23 & 24, 12:00pm–5:00pm.

Why Go: The Easter Bunny will be on board the Cabin John Miniature Train (Saturday, Apr. 23) and Wheaton minature train (Sunday, Apr. 24), carrying a basket of treats for all the kids (and where else can kids take a train ride with the Easter Bunny?).

Pricing: Tickets $1.75 per child/per ride (children ages 2 and younger ride free with a paying adult).

Why Go: Kids of all ages will enjoy the story of two hippo best friends from the James Marshall picture books brought to life on stage in this funny musical adaptation.
