Early Summer Pedestrian Deaths Under Investigation

Charges, if any, will be brought to the state attorney as early as September.

Two pedestrian fatalities, and  happened in late May and early June, but the outcome, as far as the police investigation is concerned, will not be finalized until at least September.

"The investigation always takes several months, and we've had a lot of pedestrian fatalities recently," Officer Rebecca Innocenti, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Police said.

The accident reconstruction unit investigates each case of fatal collisions and presents their findings every few months to the state attorney, to discuss evidence and whether or not the Police Department wants to press charges. The next meeting is in September.
