Fire and Rescue on Scene of Suicide Attempt in Glenmont

Weller Road Elementary was temporarily on lockdown.

Update:  According to Capt. Oscar Garcia, fire and rescue responded to a call of an injured person from a fall on the 3900 block of Weller Road at 10:54 a.m.

However, when MCFR arrived, they found a eldery man with a weapon. They retreated from the house for safety reasons and called MCPD to secure the scene. As they left, they heard shots fired. Once police cleared the scene, the man was transported to Suburban Hospital's trauma center for a wound.
