Inhaling Bug Spray Sends Two to Hospital

Valleywood Drive residents had trouble breathing Wednesday morning and were transported to a local hospital.

Two residents in a home on the 12000 Valleywood Drive in Wheaton had trouble breathing and were transported to the hospital Wednesday morning, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.

Capt. Oscar Garcia said that his team received the call at 8:16 a.m. He said that, according to the residents' statements, they had been spraying for bugs and had inhaled some accidentally.

When the ambulance and hazmat team arrived, the residents were found outside the house, Garcia said. They were transported to a local hospital; their condition was non-life-threatening.
