Man Wanted for Attacking Jogger in Wheaton

The woman said her attacker held her down until he heard her boyfriend approaching, police said.

A 36-year-old woman was knocked down by an unknown male while jogging in the 1700 block of Poplar Run Drive, Montgomery County police said in a statement Friday. 

Police officers met the victim at Montgomery General Hospital on Sept. 10, where she described how her attacker threw her to the ground around 9:15 p.m. that evening. The woman said the suspect held her down until he heard her boyfriend, who had been nearby, approaching. The man ran away, she said, according to police.

Police have released a composite photo based on the victim's description and are asking for help identifying the suspect, who is thought to be a man in his late 20s.
