Police Blotter: Aug. 22-30
An attempted armed robbery, commercial burglary and residential burglary occurred.
Yesterday, Montgomery County Police released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from August 22 through August 30.
Robbery:
- On August 26 at12:45 a.m., an attempted armed robbery occurred at the intersection of Grandview Road and Avena Street in Wheaton. An unknown number of suspects threatened a victim but did not take any property.
- On August 25 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., a residential burglary occurred in the 3200 block of University Boulevard in Kensington. There were no signs of forced entry but property was taken.
- An armed commercial robbery occurred on August 25 at 12:00 noon when a perpetrator displayed a weapon and took property from the Crickett Store located at 11921 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. Suspect: black male 17-25 years old, 5’10-6’, 160-175 lbs.
