Police Blotter: Dec. 12-20

The crime report includes a strong-arm robbery, an armed robbery, an aggravated assault, two residential burglaries and six thefts from vehicles.

 

The Montgomery County Police have released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from Dec. 12-20. This list is not comprehensive, but rather selects the ones that occurred in or very near Wheaton.

Strong-arm robbery
A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 2600 block of Urbana Drive, Wheaton, on Dec. 18 at 6:45 p.m.

  • Suspect #1: black female, 28-34, 5’10-5’11, 130-140 lbs. with corn rows.
  • Suspect #2: black male, 28-34, 6’–6’1, 150-180 lbs., thin build, bald.


Armed robbery
An armed robbery occurred in the 12100 block of Shorefield Court, Wheaton, on Dec. 18 at 2:10 a.m. The suspects threatened the victim with knife.

  • Suspect #1: black male, 5’10 -6’, wearing a black mask and gray coat, armed with a knife.
  • Suspect #2: black male, 5’6 - 5’8, wearing a black coat and a black mask.


Aggravated assault
An aggravated assault occurred at the Riverside Lounge, 11232 Georgia Avenue, Wheaton, on Dec. 20 at 12:15 a.m.

Residential burglaries
Two residential burglaries were reported on the same day that appear to be related due to entry and proximity:

  • 1600 block of Ladd Street, Wheaton, Dec. 16 at 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
  • 1100 block of Nicholas Drive, Wheaton, Dec. 16 at 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. Forced entry; no property taken.


Thefts from vehicles
Six thefts from vehicles occurred in Garage #45 at 11304 Amherst Avenue, Wheaton, on Dec. 15 at 12:50 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
