Police Blotter: Jan. 24 to Feb. 2

Several sexual assaults and residential burglaries.

Yesterday evening, Montgomery County Police released crime statistics for the week of Jan. 25 to Feb. 2. In addition to the crimes described here, police recorded one stolen vehicle, one commercial burglary and one robbery in the Lincoln sectors.

Sexual Assault:

  • On Thursday, Jan. 29th, a sexual assault was reported in the 1600 block of Nordic Hill Circle. The incident was domestic.
  • The victim and suspect know one another in a case of reported rape on Jan. 25 in the 12600 block of Bluhill Road. 
  • On Jan. 30, a rape was reported in the 10800 block of Georgie Avenue. The incident is also domestic.

 Residential Burglary:

  • Property was taken through forced entry in the 2600 block of Lindell Street between Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 3300 block of Claridge Court, at Jan. 26. Nothing was taken, but suspects did enter.
  • A 39-year-old male suspect from Landover was arrested in a residential burglary where property was taken. The crime occurred in the 1900 block of Ladd Street between 10 a.m. at 2 p.m. on Jan. 25.
