Police Blotter: July 25 to Aug. 2
Robbery at Wheaton library, sexual assault at Unique Bazaar.
Yesterday, Montgomery County Police released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from July 25 through August 2. In addition to the crimes described here, police reported five thefts from vehicles in the Lincoln sectors.
Robbery:
- On July 26 at11:40 p.m., at Georgia Avenue and Shorefield Road two suspects assaulted a victim and took property.
- On July 27 at 2:25 a.m., in the 2300 block of Georgian Way, an adult male was knocked down and kicked. The suspect took cash.
Suspects in both incidents: four black males wearing blue jeans and no shirts.

- An armed robbery occurred in the Wheaton Library on July 27 at 11:30 a.m. a suspect followed the victim into the library, brandished a knife then took property. Suspect: black male, 17-20 years old, 5’ 6” to 5’ 8”, 150-160 lbs., beard, crew cut.
Assault:
- As reported on Wheaton Patch , a sexual assault against a seven year old female occurred on August 1 at 6:50 p.m. inside the Unique Thrift Store.
Suspect: Hispanic male, 20’s, average height and medium build.

Burglary:
- A residential burglary occurred in the 12100 block of Shorefield Road on July 31 between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Property was taken by forced entry.
