Police Blotter: May 29 to June 7

Several arrests and Popeye's back on the police blotter.

Robbery:

  • An attempted armed robbery occurred in the 13700 block of Georgia Avenue on June 2 at 5 a.m. The victim was threatened by the suspects, who attempted to obtain property. Arrested: Male, 20, from Wheaton; Male, 17, from Silver Spring. 
  • On June 7 at 12:35 p.m., a strong-arm robbery occurred in the 3200 block of Paul Drive. The suspect assaulted a juvenile female victim and took property. Suspect: Hispanic male, 18-20, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130-150 lbs., thin build, wearing a black T-shirt, blue shorts, and black flip flops.
  • At 5 p.m. on June 4, two suspects assaulted an adult male victim at the Popeye's at 12102 Georgia Ave. Property was taken. Suspects: two black males, 15-17, both 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, both with thin build, crew cuts.

Assault:

  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 2400 block of Jones Lane, on June 2 at 7:15 p.m. It was a domestic incident. Arrested: female, age 21.

Burglary

  • Property was taken through forced entry in the 12500 block of Winexburg Manor Drive,  on June 1 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. 
  • A residential burglary occurred on May 31 between 1 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. in the 11900 block of Veirs Mill Road. There was no forced entry, but property was taken. 
  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 900 block of Gabel Street on May 30 at 7:45 a.m. Attempted unforced entry, nothing taken. Arrested: male, 18, no fixed address.
