Police Blotter: Oct. 10-18

Strong-arm robberies, aggravated assault, indecent exposure by a burglar and an armed robbery.

Yesterday, the Montgomery County Police released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from October 10 through October 18.

Strong-arm robbery

  • The suspects assaulted the victim on the 11700 block of Georgia Avenue, Wheaton, on October 17, at approximately 2:45 a.m.  Suspects: Hispanic male, 20, 6’0”, and two others.
  • A robbery occurred in the 1400 block of McMahon Road, Silver Spring, on October 17, between 2:25 a.m. and 2:35 a.m. 
  • An adult male victim was assaulted and had property taken from him. This occurred in the 11200 block of Midvale Lane, Silver Spring, on October 17, between 10:00 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. 


Aggravated assault

  • The suspect, who is known to the victim, assaulted the victim then fled. This occurred in the 2200 block of Arcola Avenue, Silver Spring, on October 18, around 9:00 p.m.  Suspect: Hispanic male, 39, 5’7”, 170 lbs.


Residential burglary /indecent exposure

  • The suspect forced entry in the 11500 block of Lamberton Court, Silver Spring, on October 15, between 7:15 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. The suspect then exposed himself to the victim. Arrested: male, 30, from Springfield, Va.


Armed robbery

  • The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property at a Metro bus stop in the 11100 block of Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, on October 17, between 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.
