Police Blotter: Oct. 24 - Nov. 1

Twelve-year-old arrested for aggravated assault at E. Brooke Lee Middle School.

The Montgomery County Police have released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from October 24 through November 1.

Armed robbery

  • An attempted armed robbery occurred in the 2300 block of Glenallen Avenue, Silver Spring on October 31 at 10:30 p.m.  The suspect assaulted and attempted to rob the victim.

Strong-arm robbery

Two strong-arm robberies occurred Halloween night, October 31:

  • At Glenhaven Elementary, 10900 Inwood Avenue at 7:45 p.m.  
  • At Glenkarney Avenue & Glenhaven Drive at 8:15 p.m.  Arrested: male 15, from Silver Spring.


Residential burglary

  • 11100 block of Dodson Lane, Silver Spring on October 27 between 2:00 p.m. and 10:49 p.m.  Forced entry; property removed.
  • 12700 block of Middlevale Lane, Silver Spring, on October 29 between 4:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.  Unforced entry; property taken.
  • 12000 block of Eaglewood Court, Silver Spring on October 31 at 7:00 p.m.  Unforced entry; property taken.  
  • Unit block of Winding Waye Court, Silver Spring on October 29 at 4:14 p.m.  The house is vacant. Arrested: male, 17, from Silver Spring; male, 16, from Bethesda.    


Commercial burglary

  • Capital Computers, 11441 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring overnight Oct. 25-26.  Forced entry; property removed.


Aggravated assault

  • The suspect assaulted the victim at E. Brooke Lee Middle School, 11800 Monticello Avenue, Silver Spring, on October 28 at 8:00 a.m.      Arrested: male, 12, from Silver Spring.
  • The suspect assaulted the victim at Connecticut Avenue and Veirs Mill Road, Wheaton, on October 28 at 6:00 p.m.  
  • The suspect was arrested after firing rounds at a vehicle in the 11900 block of Bluhill Road, Silver Spring, on October 30 at 2:13 a.m.  Arrested: male, 24, from Silver Spring.
