Wheaton Crime: Armed Robbery at Wheaton Metro Station

The Montgomery County Police have released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from April 2-10. This list is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or very near Wheaton.

Attempted armed robbery

An attempted armed robbery occurred in front of McDonald’s at Georgia Avenue and Randolph Road, Wheaton, on April 8 at 11:30 p.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and was arrested. Arrested: Male, age 21.

Armed robbery

An armed robbery occurred at the Wheaton Metro station, Wheaton on April 4 at 12:10a.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

Strong-arm robbery at 7-11

A strong-arm robbery occurred in back of the 7-11 at 11441 Amherst Avenue, Wheaton, on April 5 at around 3:00 a.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.

Aggravated assault

An aggravated assault occurred in the 1600 block of University Boulevard, Silver Spring, on April 7 at 8:30 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
